Diane's Profile
I was born in Willesden NW 10 in the London Borough of Brent and raised and educated in Hillingdon, Uxbridge, Middlesex. I met my husband at South Ruislip Air Force Base where I worked as a bookkeeper for AFEX. We were married in the UK and our first child was born at the base I came to the US in May 1961.
We lived and raised our three children in Oskaloosa, Iowa until retirement and moved to Overland Park, Ks in 2006. We have been coming to the Kansas City area since 1980 when my son came here to go to college and now both daughters live here so it was the only place we considered when moving from Iowa. My son now lives in Jacksonville Florida.
We were avid antiquers when we lived in Iowa and owned a four bedroom house full of antiques which we sold when we sold the house and retired, we now live in a two bedroom townhouse and love it.
I love to shop and Kansas City allows me to shop to my hearts content I also love cooking especially British cooking and different ethnic foods.
I am an avid tennis fan and love the KC chiefs also decorating and seeking out the newest restaurants in the area are my main interests. I go back to England every chance I get as I have lots of family members to visit mostly in the Essex area now...I recently found two first cousins through Ancestors.com and plan a trip home this summer to meet up with them!
